CFP is the highest international qualification in the field of personal finance globally.
It is recognised in 27 countries (including India) all over the world namely in US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore and other major global financial hubs.
CFP can be done by any individual who has completed HSC or Diploma in any stream. Thus, any student from Science, Commerce and Arts background can do CFP.
The entire can be completed within 15 months if pursued through online lectures and if pursued through recorded lectures then in 10 months.
CFP qualification is recognised by Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for working in the field of Finance.
CFP is globally affiliated by Financial Planning Standards Board, Denver, US.
In India, exams of CFP are conducted by National Stock Exchange through National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). Exams can be appeared both online as well as offline from various centres of NSE.
The exams are in MCQ format with NO negative marking. Exams are conducted in the third week of every month. The certificate of CFP is issued directly from FPSB, US.
CFP qualified people are hired by all the companies incorporated in the Banking, Financial Services and Investment (BFSI) sector namely, Financial Planning firms, Mutual Fund AMC’s, Insurance Companies, Stock broking, Hedge Funds, Wealth Management and PMS firms in India.
